Simposio Biomediaciones. Festival Internacional de Artes Electrónicas y Video, Transitio_MX 05
En el marco del Festival Internacional de Artes Electrónicas y Video Transitio_MX 05, el Simposio Biomediaciones contextualiza críticamente las prácticas artísticas, atendiendo a la idea de que aquello que actualmente llamamos “vida” se constituye a través de procesos históricos de (bio)mediación. El arte con nuevas tecnologías responde a la compleja problemática de cómo “la vida” se conceptualiza, se produce y se resiste en las prácticas y los discursos dominantes de la tecnociencia. A partir de cuestionamientos tales como: ¿Cómo puede el arte abordar, de un modo crítico y responsable, la composición mutua de vida, violencia y muerte? ¿De qué manera puede el arte contribuir a la creación de nuevas biomediaciones basadas en la solidaridad y la colaboración, a contracorriente de una cultura individualista y extractiva?, el Simposio Biomediaciones se propone situar el potencial crítico y creativo de la investigación en arte y tecnología a través de un encuentro entre la filosofía contemporánea, la teoría cultural, la biología, el arte y la investigación social de los problemas concretos que actualmente plantean los procesos de biomediación en México y el mundo.
